Hemp processing:
All components of the hemp can be 100% utilized. The complete processing is purely mechanical. The seeds are harvested at the same time as the straw and immediately after harvesting are taken to a drying facility. The straw remains in the field for approx. 3 weeks for so-called field retting before it is pressed into square bales and transported to the fiber processing plant. There, the hemp straw is broken down into fibers and shives.
Products after mechanical processing:
technical fibers: Used e.g. in the automotive industry (door panels)
or in building insulation.
Short fibers: e.g. for the production of specialty papers in the paper industry
Super Short fibers: e.g. for the production of brake pads in the automotive industry
Shives: Use e.g. as mulch, animal bedding or in the construction industry.
Dust: Use e.g. as hemp briquettes for heating.
Food: e.g. hemp oil, or various other food supplements.
